WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA – 29 June 2026 – Following the recent resignation of the Chief Executive Officer, Dr Stanley Shanapinda, the Board of Directors wishes to inform stakeholders that Mr. Armando Perny has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2026, for a period of 1 month.
Mr. Perny brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of Telecom Namibia’s operations and strategic priorities. His leadership will ensure continuity and stability as the Board undertakes the process of appointing a substantive CEO.
The Board has full confidence in Mr. Perny’s ability to guide the organisation during this transitional period and maintain focus on delivering value to our customers and stakeholders.
The Board of Directors further announces the resignation of the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), and Chief Finance Officer (CFO), who have formally tendered their resignations, effective 30th of June 2026 and 31st of September 2026, respectively.
The Board of Directors and Executive Management acknowledge these resignations and extend their sincere appreciation to the executives for their leadership, dedication, and contribution to the company.
To ensure continuity and stability of operations, appropriate interim arrangements will be communicated in due course, in line with the Company’s governance frameworks and succession planning processes. The recruitment process to fill these critical executive positions will also commence in accordance with approved policies.

Stakeholders are assured that the organisation’s leadership team continues to function effectively and remains focused on delivering value to customers, employees, and shareholders.
