Windhoek, 17 September 2024 Telecom Namibia is thrilled to announce that it sponsored the National Science Quiz (NSQ) in Windhoek to the tune of N$100,000. The competition culminated on Friday, the 13th of September 2024, with Omusati region claiming the top prize.

The NSQ is an annual event that challenges high school students from across the country to showcase their scientific knowledge and problem-solving skills. The quiz aims to foster a love for science and technology among young learners, while also developing essential skills like communication, strategic thinking, and teamwork.

This year, participants were put to the test by Quiz Master Mr. David Mbeha, who challenged their understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The competition was fierce, with students demonstrating their impressive knowledge and abilities. Telecom Namibia's support for the NSQ aligns with its commitment to promoting education and innovation in Namibia. By sponsoring the event, the company aims to inspire the next generation of scientists and technologists.

Ndapewa Neshila, a Telecom Namibia representative, received a certificate of appreciation from Prof. Dr. Anicia Peters, Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission on Research, Science, and Technology (NCRST), in recognition of the company's contribution to the NSQ.
