Windhoek, Namibia – June 23, 2024 – Telecom Namibia (TN) is pleased to announce significant progress in its ongoing SIM card registration initiative.
As of June 23, 2024, a total of 280887 SIM cards have been successfully registered, reflecting a strong commitment from our valued customers. This figure comprises:
- 247301 -Prepaid SIM Cards
- 33586 -Postpaid SIM Cards
This achievement demonstrates a substantial increase in registered users since the deactivation of unregistered prepaid SIM cards on April 1, 2024, in accordance with the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia's (CRAN) regulations.
Telecom Namibia remains steadfast in its commitment to achieving three key objectives. Firstly, we prioritize upholding regulatory compliance by strictly adhering to the SIM card registration mandates set forth by the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN). Secondly, we are dedicated to ensuring customer data security by implementing a robust registration process that safeguards user information.
