Telecom Namibia employees shone in their charity efforts which made it possible for us to donate a lot of food items to Baby Haven and Family Hope Services in Katutura recently. Today we are handing over clothing items and gift bags to our elderly citizens at the Katutura Old Age Home as Independence Day nears, Agula said.
We really appreciate the assistance you gave us today. You have earned the respect from our management and especially our elderly inhabitants, said Rukoro.
All these charitable gestures of our employees show that we are committed to our corporate values of care and mutual respect, he added.
A group of ten Telecom Namibia volunteers assisted with the preparations, serving and socializing with the elderly. This is indeed a wonderful experience for us as senior citizens, said David Kambalala, a resident of the home.
Caretaker of the facility Martha Rukoro thanked Telecom Namibia for its kind gesture.>She added that the food and clothing will be distributed equally amongst the inhabitants of the home while the kitchen has been stocked up for staff to prepare meals for the elderly.
