Eight African Football Nations will participate in the first-ever 2014 tn mobile CAF Women Football Championship in Windhoek. “Our involvement in football is new for us; however, we will piggy-bag on our laudable track-record of community development programmes; and making a resounding success of our N$6 Million Dollar deliberate investment in the tn mobile CAF Women Football Championship is not negotiable,” the MD said.

Ndoroma added that the value of Telecom’s investment was by no means small change; “we will ensure, through our vigorous marketing and public relations plan to aggressively position the tn mobile brand, powered by the reputable mother brand of Telecom Namibia, to extract the marketing returns on this noble investment.”The official draw of the tn mobile CAF Women Football Championship will take place immediately after the 2014 Brazil FIFA World Cup on Saturday, 19th July 2014 in Windhoek.

Ndoroma added that: “We have appointed a project team to drive the public relations and marketing of the tn mobile CAF Women Football Championship to create awareness, stimulate and position the tn mobile brand vigorously in the hearts and minds of the Namibian communities and, by the same token, ensure we extract maximum returns on our N$6 Million Dollar marketing investment.”

Our ICT Minister, Hon. Joel Kaapanda said in his speech that: “I as the political head of the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology, I am proud of the bold corporate social investment initiatives Telecom is embarking upon because it shows me and the people of Namibia that the TN Mobile brand, powered by Telecom Namibia touches the hearts and minds of the Namibians people, especially those that are frequent users of telecommunications services.”

Hon. Kaapanda further expressed his sincere gratitude for the wonderful hospitality the vibrant TN Mobile brand, powered by Telecom Namibia was bringing the TN Mobile CAF Women Football Championship to Namibia for the eight Nations coming from North, East, West and Southern African countries to descend onto Hosea Kutako International Airport, “not only to play football, but very importantly to experience the clean and warm hospitality of the Namibian Government through its friendly people and football federation, the NFA,” Hon. Kaapanda concluded.
