Not only have we seen women of calibre clinch the coveted Award, but these women have gone on to occupy executive positions at major corporates while inspiring young and old across the country,” Kondombolo-Kambinda said.

“Through Telecom Namibia’s involvement and provision of the required funding, the project was able to highlight the value women bring to the boardroom,” she added.

Organiser of the Businesswoman Award, Desèré Lundon-Muller said:With the Award we aim to raise awareness for equal opportunity, to provide a platform for decision-makers to recognize and promote the status of women and to promote the creation of small and medium businesses in Namibia. This prestigious event gives recognition to the innovation, perseverance and creativity of the women who have achieved success. Its aim is to reward and encourage high quality businesswomen and entrepreneurs for their excellence so as to showcase role models and honour those who form the core of economic growth and contribute to the wellbeing of our society.”
