Digicon is a digital high speed managed data communication on leased lines that synchronously transfers data or information from different remote directions to one another over a network. Digicon leased line provides you with many integrated services within one network which can benefit you and your customers as well as your business, such as:
- Point to point Connections
- Point to MultiPoint Connections ( Channellised E1)
- Broadcasting Line
- Out door extension
- ISDN Basic Rate

What are the requirements for DIGICON installation?
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR DIGICON INSTALLATION ARE:
- You need to be in an area which has access to a Digicon network.
- A suitable location for the modem must be allocated.
- Standard power supply - 230 volts.
- Safe place for our equipment such as STU/NTU
- The building should be complete, not underconstraction.
- The building should have internal cables already.
Which Standard Ports and Protocols can be used on Digicon?
Digicon has different interfaces for PC and modem connections:
- X.21 (15 pins D- type interface) speed from 64kbits/s - 2 Mbits/s
- V.24 (25 pins D-type interface) speed from 0.6kbits/s to 64 kbits/s
- V.35 (15 pins interface) speed from 64kbits/s - 2 Mbits/s
- G.703 120 ohms (9 pins interface) speed 2Mbits/s or G.70375 ohms (coaxial interface).
- Router and Bridge interface (RJ45 plug-Ethernet 10BaseT,10Base2 and 100BaseT the latter available on the routing interface only) speed from 64--2Mbits/s.
All the above interfaces can be supplied by Telecom Namibia depending on your equipment's design and your communication needs.
