What is MetroNet ?

• Telecom Namibia's MetroNET is a standards based Ethernet data network which covers a metropolitan area.
• The link medium is optic fibre and the standard used is Ethernet (IEEE 802.3).
• MetroNET Ethernet networks are commonly used as:
  • Access Networks to interconnect corporate sites within one metropolitan area
  • To connect corporate customers with high bandwidth needs to L3 services
  • DRC (Disaster Recovery) and Co-location connectivity
