Telecom Namibia has announced a special all-time low priced offer for its 1x EVDO Mobile Data Card.
The new offer price for the 1x Internet Access Special will now be just N$499, which is at least 41% less the normal price, and is valid until stock lasts.
The original price for the 1x package is a one off N$849 (VAT incl.) which comes with N$10 free airtime, 20 free SMSs and a starter pack.
With the new special, in addition to this all time low pricing ever for an 1x EVDO card, there is additional N$50 of free internet access loaded for on-net usage only, plus 20 free SMSs.
However, the usage rate of 30 cents per minute still applies.
“This is an absolutely fantastic deal, the most complete mobile internet access for only N$499 once-off is a no-brainer. Now you can have mobile internet at a much cheaper price,” said Advertising & Promotion Senior Manager, Felicitas Kakoro-Gowases.
Stating that the objective of doing this is to increase the penetration of internet services in Namibia, Kakoro-Gowases encouraged the young professionals, students, working executives to avail themselves of the new bouquet of offer aimed at enhancing educational, business, professional and entrepreneurial development in the country.

Telecom Namibia’s 1x service (or 1xRTT) allows users to enjoy speeds of up 153 kb/s and has the ability to data roam nationwide, if there is CDMA Switch coverage.
